There is something incredibly special about backyard weddings. They feel personal. Intentional. Full of heart.
Caleb and Hannah’s mini elopement in Red Hill was exactly that. Held in Hannah’s grandad’s backyard in Queensland, this small ceremony was intimate, meaningful, and filled with the people who matter most.
With plans for a larger wedding next September, this day was about covenant first. Celebration second. And we absolutely love that.
Beautiful Pre Wedding Moments at Home
The afternoon began with pre wedding photos of Hannah and her family in the beautiful prep home. Backyard weddings allow for something really unique. There is no rushing between locations. No pressure. Just real life unfolding naturally.
Little ones wandered in and out. Family members helped with final touches. The atmosphere felt relaxed and joyful.
There was also a beautiful, quiet moment with Hannah right before the ceremony. A pause. A breath. A grounding second before walking toward forever. These are the moments that make small weddings so powerful. The stillness holds weight.

We then captured candid images of Caleb as guests began to arrive. He was calm, steady, and clearly ready to marry his bride.

A Fantastic Backyard Ceremony in Red Hill QLD
As guests gathered in the backyard, there was a gentle excitement in the air. Lawn chairs set up. Sunshine filtering through. A family backyard transformed into a ceremony space.
Backyard weddings in Brisbane carry such charm. They feel deeply rooted in story and place. This was not just a venue. It was family history.

Caleb and Hannah exchanged vows surrounded by their closest loved ones. It was small, but it was full. You could feel the joy ripple through the group.
And then just like that, they were married.

Lawn Games, Champagne and a Joyous Exit
After the ceremony, the celebration continued with lawn games and relaxed mingling. We captured those beautiful candid moments while everyone laughed, chatted, and soaked in the Queensland afternoon.

Their exit was pure joy. Walking out under the washing line in the backyard, smiling from ear to ear, surrounded by cheers. It was simple. It was real. It was them.
Then the champagne popped.

Family gathered close. Glasses raised. Hugs all around. There is something so lovely about celebrating in a space that already holds so many memories.
Caleb and Hannah chose our Mini Package for their backyard elopement, and it was the perfect fit for a day that focused on intimacy and intention. We are so excited that this is only part one of their wedding story, with a larger celebration still to come next year.
And Hannah’s tip for keeping her day affordable? This is our mini elopement in my grandads backyard so it’s a very small ceremony. Our larger wedding will be next September
